+ Clinic Digitization - Human Infrastructure | Soft Power Health
Designed and conducted workshops for general staff to improve computer literacy, adapt to a digital clinic workflow, and to establish and maintain proper channels to provide platform and process feedback to administrators. Simultaneously, I developed intensive training sessions to help create a devoted in-house IT admin team to manage the hard and soft infrastructure of the clinic's digital operations.
+ Clinic Digitization - Digital/Soft Infrastructure | Soft Power Health
Led the mapping and assessment of clinic workflows and electronic medical records requirements to determine the optimal software platform for clinic operations. Negotiated contract with software provider and established implementation timeline. Led the execution the platform configuration and customization requirements for both the software provider's dev team and the clinic's in-house IT admin team. Established network security and privacy standards as well as ISP service levels and rates.
+ Clinic Digitization - Physical/Hard Infrastructure | Soft Power Health
Devised the hybrid-network approach that would keep critical operations related software on the clinic's local network while maintaining internet access to a broader digital ecosystem. To mitigate clinic disruptions due to potential power and network outages, the access points, servers, and other connectivity infrastructure were installed on a battery back-up and solar powered circuit. Wireless access points and laptops were decided upon to maximize flexibility, mobility, and modularity of the clinic's digital operations.

+ Digital Ecosystem - Finance Modules | Soft Power Health
Created modules that managed the clinic's financial obligations including payroll, taxes, the SPH Loan Program, petty cash, and other institutional financial reporting.
+ Digital Ecosystem - Child Triage Nutrition Assessment Module | Soft Power Health
Created module that ingested data measured during child triage and automatically calculated the child's risk-level of malnutrition. Previous risk-assessment was entirely manual. Digitization of this process reduced the burden on the nursing staff, reduced risk-assessment error, and increased capacity to handle large volumes of patients.
+ Digital Ecosystem - Outreach Planning Module | Soft Power Health
Organized and automated the calculation of costs, personnel requirements, and scheduling constraints associated with Educational Outreaches (for example Ebola Awareness & Mobilization). Module ingested outreach types, outreach teams, team compositions, village location and distance, and planned outreaches. These inputs were then used to create a final line-item formatted output to aid in the cost-benefit decision making and budgetary accountibility for each potential outreach.

+ ERP Integration | Gabriel Scott
I led the assessment and implementation of the company's first ERP software solution (Netsuite). I was the Project Manager, the System Administrator, and Business Process owner for all modules except accounting. The project was a formative experience and successful in immediately improving critical business processes' capacity and execution. The system also lay a fresh and more sound foundation upon which future growth could stand.
+ Digital Workflow, Quality Assurance, and Supplier Integration | Gabriel Scott
Leveraged workflow software (Wrike) to digitize the monitoring, intervention, communication, and accountability of production activities. Implemented photo-recording of product to ensure historical record of product quality. Second use case was to integrate with artisan suppliers to monitor their progress on orders in real-time, and to proactively manage order priority from suppliers.
+ Organizational Restructuring | Gabriel Scott
The company's evolution under intense stress had resulted in sub-optimal legacy business processes and workflows. My focus was to redesign the company's end to end operational architecture, starting with production and purchasing workflows. After the assessment, we reorganized company assets and employees to enable parallel processing of porduction tasks and minimize context switching and downtime.

+ PIX (Production & Inventory -X) | Gabriel Scott
Due to severe company stress as a consequence of rapid growth, this business process / systems design addressed the manual, paper-based backlog of order submissions and production management. An emphasis on rapid, low-resource deployment was key to help buy the company time until a more holistic and scalable solution could be implemented (see ERP Integration).
+ Shipping-X | Gabriel Scott
The company's output was bottlenecked by its manual, paper-based, error-prone shipment coordination. A bare-bones, rapid-deploy, electronic shipping management system was designed and implemented to relieve the bottleneck until a more complete solution could be implemented (see ERP Integration).

+ Beyond the Bubble
This project focused on organizational design. Beyond the Bubble is a non-profit crowdfunding humanitarian watchdog that addresses two main problems: (1) media coverage doesn’t accurately represent the magnitude of crises, and (2) people (primarily college students) lack confidence in and a connection to their donations. Beyond the Bubble is committed to exploring new and ongoing crises, monitoring and reporting the untold conditions of and needs for humanitarian aid, and connecting money to specific humanitarian projects so that people can become informed and confident donors.
As a watchdog organization, Beyond the Bubble competes with non-profit groups that monitor the activities of humanitarian organizations and alert the public when they detect actions that go against public interest. As a promoter and facilitator of donations, Beyond the Bubble competes in the merged arenas of social media and crowdfunding for people’s attention and contributions, with a special focus on microdonations during purchases of goods via a linked credit card.

+ Road Nepal
This project centered around information system design. The objective of the project was to incorporate information regarding Nepalese road conditions from the UN Logistics Cluster into a database that could be accessed to better analyze and react to logistical challenges. We realized near completing the project that this database, given its mobile accessibility, could actually be used to directly update road conditions, without the need for the Logistics Cluster intermediary.
+ Project Arcane
This project centered around organizational design. We developed the organizational structure and capacity of a technology incubator that would specialize in assisting startups that could benefit the welfare of disadvantaged people. We conducted research regarding the groundbreaking concept of social impact bonds and pay-for-success social programs, and conveyed that knowledge to the public via an educational website.
+ Christmas Tree Hydrator
This project was heavily focused on optimizing user design with manufacturing design. With a $20,000 dollar investment, our objective was to modify the client's existing self-watering Christmas tree design to make it more competitive within the market.
+ GPS Tracking of Buses for the Capital District Transport Authority
In order to increase revenue, the CDTA needed to increase its user base. Improving user experience was determined to be the best way to increase ridership numbers, and so the CDTA wanted to provide real time information regarding bus routes and bus locations to their riders through mobile and/or web applications. Project management was the primary design focus of this project. We had to develop a request for proposal, establish statements of work, deliverables, contract details, payment terms, cost and time estimates, a work breakdown structure, as well as constantly manage the loading and leveling of resources.
